Wed like to welcome Spirits Essence, a new Healing
Center and Bookstore, to the Portland scene. Drop by and check out
their selection of books, crystals, Tarot cards, altar kits and
fun gifts...and their Fairy Wings are a must! Ross Jura, the moving
spirit behind the center, feels rather that he was moved by
Spirit to start it up. Located on SE Washington, between MLK and
Grand, the healing center offers the services of body/mind
therapists and intuitive counselors in a nurturing atmosphere. They
have great space available for classes, workshops and additional
practitioners. Their doors are open from the first of the year,
and Ross, Julie and Angela invite you to their Grand Opening Celebration on February 3rd &
4th. Spirits Essence, 425 SE Washington Ave, Portland
OR 97214; Tel.: 503-731-2947.

We got the following information about a company called ONE
EARTH COMMUNICATIONS, a telecommunications company owned and
operated by Native Americans. They act as an agent for long-distance
service with BROADWING, giving Oregon residents an out-of-state
rate of 7.9 cents/minute and an in-state rate of 10 cents/minute.
Of the 15% of this charge, which goes to One Earth, between 1/2
to 2/3 of that amount is donated directly to several non-profit
organizations, including the Breitenbush Foundation, the Shoshone
Indian Nation, KBOO Foundation, the Ecotopia Project, the Shundahai
Network and others. For more information call their toll-free number:(877)717-9035

James Gilliland of the Self-Mastery Earth Institute in Hood River,
Oregon says, The proof now of contact with Off
World Visitors is now a done deal. He has posted
on his website some remarkable photos of what he believes are Probes
from a Pleiadian ship. They were taken in a field on his ranch by
a number of people gathered to invite contact by focusing their
higher consciousness. A previous group took a photo of a large golden
being next to a blue being walking in the field. See the photos
and hear the recordings on: http://www.cazekiel.org/eceti/photos2.htm

All you fans of Rudolf Steiner / anthroposophy / the Waldorf School
should make a beeline for a new store that has recently opened at
5915 SE Division, Suite 2, Portland 97206. The Steiner Storehouse carries a fascinating
mix in an environment in keeping with Steiners principles.
They have a range of OTC Anthroposophic remedies, Weleda body care
products and Hauschka cosmetics pricey but if youve
got sensitive skin there arent that many alternatives around.
They have a lovely range of cards and crafts made for them by residents
of Camphill, Steiner-inspired intentional communities where those
with developmental disabilities can live, learn and work in an atmosphere
of care and respect. I particularly liked their range of toys and
art supplies, lovely silk dress-up clothes for kids in jewel colors,
biodynamically grown coffee, tea and staples, and clothes made from
biodynamic/organically grown cotton. For information call Tom Klein,
503-777 1251.

A City Club for the new consciousness is born! The
Spiritual City Club has recently been established to:
- 1) build a stronger sense of relationship between diverse religious
and spiritual groups;
- 2) foster dialogue on matters of civic concern; and
- 3) to give a voice to the Interfaith spiritual perspective in
our community.
Spiritual values must enter the public square. We can find
common ground only by moving to higher ground, says Theodore
Zeldon in Conversations. Humans have already changed
the world several times by changing the way they have had conversations....In
the past that gave us the Renaissance, the Enlightenment, modernity
and post modernity. Now its time for the New Conversation.
Meeting times are the first Thursday of the month at 11:30 am for
lunch and discussion. For further information contact Rev. Grace
Young at 503-643-2309 or revgrace@juno.com.
