If you wish to bring more of the spirits to work, this workshop will teach
you how to increase your creativity and joy on the job.
In tribal shamanic cultures the shaman, in addition to his or her primary soul work, such as healing or psychopomp, often worked shamanically in the mainstream of society, helping the tribe in its day to day chores. Today the mainstream of society is in large part big and small businesses, institutions, governments, and private practices. It comprises research, production, commerce, finances, artistic projects, communication, education, family work, health services and
other activities. In this workshop, participants will explore working with spirits in one’s daily & professional life, for the purpose of seeking greater harmony, enhanced understanding and creativity, and guidance in addressing issues and resolving problems. The focus of the workshop is on expanding and deepening interactions with spirits, both ones own tutelary spirits as well as other spirits. This workshop is designed for those who are committed to regular shamanic practices and to integrating shamanism in their lives. Participants need to have taken the basic workshop with a faculty of the Foundation for Shamanic Studies or the equivalent training.
Claude Poncelet is a member of the international faculty of the Foundation for Shamanic Studies. He has taught for the Foundation in Europe, Russia, Ukraine and Siberia. Claude has studied shamanism with Michael Harner and with a number of shamans and spiritual teachers from diverse cultures . Working with spirits, he has developed innovative shamanic practices for his daily professional work with businesses, governments, and other institutions. As a physicist with a passion for astronomy and cosmology, he has been working with the spirits of the cosmos, the immense and wonder-filled universe which scientists have become aware of only in the past few decades. He also has been working with spirits for many years on the practice of shapeshifting or metamorphosis, a practice that has become his personal spiritual path and is central to his daily shamanic work. Claude has a doctorate in physics and was a professor at Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He has held executive positions with a large corporation in California, where he dealt with environmental protection and restoration and environmental policy. In that capacity he has served on two Presidential Environmental Commissions. Claude brings a remarkably creative blending of professionalism and spirit work to the topic of shamanism in professional life.
